Abstract
Revisionary study of the South American species of Calea L. (Compositae: Heliantheae) by the first author and floristic study of Compositae in Grao Mogol, Minas Gerais, Brazil by the second author has lead to the recognition of two new species of Calea section Meyeria (DC.) Benth. Both are endemic to the neighbourhood of Serra do Grfio Mogol, Minas Gerais, Brazil, an area known for its high endemicity.
