Abstract

Two new orthoclad species, Tavastia alticrista sp. n. and Heterotrissocladius zierli sp. n., are described as male imagines. T. alticrista is the third species described from the genus and differs from the two other known species by having a reduced anal point and a gonostylus with a prominent crista dorsalis. Heterotrissocladius zierli is the first species of the genus with setae on the preepisternum. Both species were collected with emergence traps from alpine calcareous springs in the Berchtesgaden National Park, Germany.
