Abstract

Two new coordination polymers directed by different inorganic anions, namely [Zn2(mtz)(SO4)(OH)(H2O)]n (1) and [Zn6(mtz)9(NO3)2]n (2) (Hmtz = 5-methyl-1H-tetrazole) were synthesized under solvothermal conditions and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. Compound 1 features a three-dimensional (3D) framework based on one dimensional [Zn(OH)(mtz)]n chains, whereas compound 2 features a 3D (3, 4)-connected tpd topological framework based on one-dimensional 1D [Zn(mtz)]n nano-tubes. The different coordination modes of mtz− ligand may be induced by different inorganic anions. Moreover, the thermal stabilities and luminescent properties of compounds 1 and 2 were also investigated in detail.
