Abstract

Two new genera, Sundaxena Legalov, gen. nov. with type species Sundaxena timorensis Legalov, sp. nov. and Sumatraxena Legalov, gen. nov. with type species Sumatraxena helleri Legalov, sp. nov. from the subtribe Metrioxenina are described. The new genus Sumatraxena Legalov, gen. nov. differs from the genus Metrioxena in the femora lacking tooth. It is distinguish from the genus Sundaxena gen. nov. in the finely faceted eyes, strongly curved metatibiae in males, the rostrum lacking adpressed setae ventrally, antennae almost reaching the base of the pronotum, and the head behind eyes with weak constriction. The new genus Sundaxena Legalov, gen. nov. differs from the genus Sumatraxena gen. nov. in the coarsely faceted eyes, the rostrum with adpressed setae ventrally, straight metatibiae in males, and the antennae reaching middle of the pronotum. Sundaxena timorensis Legalov, sp. nov. is described from Timor Isl. and Sumatraxena helleri Legalov, sp. nov. from Sumatra Isl. (Indonesia). A key to the genera of the subtribe Metrioxenina is given.
