Abstract

Two new Ceropegia L. (Apocynaceae: Asclepiadoideae-Ceropegieae) species from Kenya, Ceropegia laikipiensis and C. manderensis, are described and illustrated. Ceropegia laikipiensis is a stem succulent with small, scale-like leaves and is closely related to C. arabica H. Huber var. powysii (D. V. Field) Meve & Mangelsdorff. Cerope7gia manderensis has thin wiry steins and a globose tuber and is related to C. stenoloba Hochst. ex Chiov.
