Abstract

Two new compounds lepidodromos A-B and ( 1 - 2 ) have been isolated from the methanol-soluble extract of the aerial parts of Lepidogrammitis drymoglossoides (Bak.) Ching (Family: Polypodiaceae) and their structures were determined by 1D, 2 D NMR, and HR-ESI–MS. The comparisons of experimental and calculated CD curves were used to determine their absolute configurations. The antiproliferative test indicated that both compounds 1 - 2 displayed moderate biological activity against Hela cells with IC 50 values of 17.8 and 20.4 μM, respectively. Lepidogrammitis drymoglossoides (Bak.) Ching • New C21 Steroids were discovered in Lepidogrammitis genus. • Structures of the new compounds were elucidated by NMR spectroscopic data. • Antiproliferative effects on Hela cancer cell lines were evaluated.
