Abstract

In the current study, two new Cu(II)-containing coordination polymers (CPs) with the chemical formula of {[Cu2(Py2TTz)(2-CH3-BDC)2]·2(DMF)·3(H2O)}n (1, 2-CH3-H2BDC = 2-methyl-1,4-benzenedicarboxylic acid) and {[Cu2(Py2TTz)2(1,3-BDC)2]·3(DMF)·3(H2O)}n (2, 1,3-H2BDC = 1,3-benzenedicarboxylic acid) has been successfully prepared by reaction of Cu(NO3)2·3H2O with the rigid 2,5-bis(4-pyridyl)thiazolo[5,4-d]thiazole (Py2TTz) in the presence of different dicarboxylic acid ligands. Their treatment activity on the neonatal septic infections was evaluated and the specific mechanism was also explored. The percentage of the apoptotic lymphocytes during neonatal septic infections was measured with FITC/PI staining assay after compounds treatment. In addition to this, after indicated treatment, the serum procalcitonin (PCT) content during sepsis was further detected with the ELISA detection kit.
