Abstract

We have used Wilson's numerical renormalization group method to study the problem of two spin-one-half magnetic moments in a Fermi gas. Even when the initial effective RKKY coupling K0 between the impurities is much smaller than the Kondo energy TK, the system scales to strong coupling and the asymptotic behavior is that of a correlated Kondo effect.
