Abstract

Abstract 1.1. A simple, accurate colorimeter is described by the use of which the standard colorimetric methods of blood chemistry are considerably simplified and routine hospital laboratory work in blood chemistry is thereby greatly facilitated. 2.2. By employing this colorimeter as individual equipment, colorimetric methods for the determination of the metabolic constituents of urine as well as of blood may be taught to a class of medical students to much better advantage than where a few expensive colorimeters constitute the entire facilities for color comparison.
