Abstract

In this paper, the Open Academic Courses project at the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Institute of Technology is discussed and assessed. This project aims on the development of online courses with various types of educational content, such as e-books, podcasts, video-lectures etc. which are all open to the world. The open courses that were developed as well as the platforms used are assessed both in terms of users' perceptions and courses usage.
