Abstract
A new chalcone, linderachalcone, and a new dihydrochalcone, methyllinderatin, were isolated from the leaves of Lindera umbellata var. membranacea and L. umbellata var. lancea, respectively. Their structures were established by spectroscopic and chemical means.
