Abstract

The axisymmetric transport equation for galactic cosmic rays (GCR) is offered as a consequence of the three-dimensional (in spatial coordinates) equation, where three-dimensionality is caused only by the presence of the current sheet of arbitrary shape in the heliosphere. A distinctive feature of the offered equation is that it takes into account a source connected with variations in the GCR three-dimensional intensity. The equation can be used for a description of GCL modulation processes in the heliosphere.
