Abstract

There is a large challenge to rationally design and synthesize the CPs-based chemosensors with good sensitivity and selectivity for the sensing of metal ions and organic pollutions. Two new ternary d10 CPs, [Cd0.5(BDC)0.5(L)]n (1) and [Zn0.5(TBTA)0.5(L)]n (2) (H2BDC = terephthalic acid, H2TBTA = tetrabromoterephthalic acid, and L = thiabendazole) are prepared under the hydrothermal conditions. 1 possesses a 1D infinite chain which further extended into a 2D supramolecular network through π···π stacking interactions, while for 2, the 1D chain is extended into the 3D supramolecular network through O H···O hydrogen bonding interactions. 1 and 2 display excellent thermal and chemical stability. Moreover, both CPs can be as difunctional luminescent probes for the sensing of norfloxacin and Ni2+ ions (for 1), oxytetracycline and Fe3+ ions (for 2) with highly sensitivity, selectivity, and low limit of detection.
