Abstract

Results of two-dimensional (2D) unsteady transonic full-potential flow calculations for AGARD standard aeroelastic configurations are presented and compared with experimental data. Two complementary methods have been applied: 1) the time-integration TULIPS method, and 2) the time-linearized FTRANC method. The calculations have been performed for the NACA 64A010 (Ames) airfoil and for the supercritical NLR 7301 airfoil, both undergoing sinusoidal pitching oscillations. The results of both methods are in good agreement, and the comparison with experimental data is fair.
