Abstract

A powerful two-channel noise reduction algorithm for car noise environments is proposed. The algorithm estimates the target spectrum by using time–frequency masking based on the inter-channel time delay. Then, remaining background noises are subtracted to enhance the estimated spectrum further. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm significantly improves speech recognition performance in car noise environments.
