Abstract

Both toothache and trigeminal neuralgia are transduced through trigeminal nerve, in order to make a clear differential diagnosis, a strict clinical examination and laboratory test should be performed in orofacial pain patients. This paper reports two patients with toothache misdiagnosed as trigeminal neuralgia and reviews related literatures. Key words: Trigeminal neuralgia; Toothache; Diagnostic errors
