Abstract
We describe the cases of two patients with chronic subdural hematomas who were treated with Oreong-san. The patientsâ symptoms improved, as verified by brain computed tomography imaging. Oreong-san may control membrane permeability by inhibiting the aquaporin channel of the outer membrane of a hematoma. We speculate that hydrostatic modulation is a key mechanism underlying the effectiveness of Oreong-san in the treatment of subdural hematomas.
