Abstract

Abstract A computer system for automatic reading of identification labels of railroad cars in motion, when a standard television camera is used, has to operate with blurred images and requires the overall processing to be supplemented with an image restoration processing stage. Two different strategies in making this supplement are discussed and are illustrated with appropriate experimental results.
