Abstract

The present work deals with an extensive study of two- and three-particle pseudo-rapidity correlation among the shower particles in central 24MgAgBr interactions at 4.5 GeV/ c per nucleon, and comparison with 12CAgBr data at the same incident momentum per nucleon. The experimental data have been used as input for a Monte Carlo simulation to look for “true dynamical” correlation in each case. The correlation effect has been observed to depend interestingly on the size of the projectile. The detailed observation is reported and the implications are discussed.
