Abstract

Two copper metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) have been synthesized using l-serine Schiff base (2-(2-oxhydryl-phenylmethanimine)-3-oxhydryl-propionic acid = H2pmpa) and L-tyrosine (L-Tyr). The new MOF {[Cu(pmpa)(H2O)]·H2O}n (1) and another MOF {Cu(L-Tyr)2}n (2) were prepared by a one-pot method, and indicate square-based pyramidal geometry. Both MOFs display outstanding catalytic effects for the thermal decomposition of ammonium perchlorate (AP) and hexogen (RDX).
