Abstract
The Brazilian Education TV (TVE) is, within the Ibero-American community, a singular, varied and complex segment. The main focus of this work is one of its variables that has not been explored: the relationship between small broadcasters and formal education in small and medium-sized cities. As a result of an extensive research, where it was detected that there is a great distance between the TVE and the local school. Here are interdisciplinary project proposals in which communication professionals, together with educators, can offer the population a programming with an educational and, at the same time, entertainment bias. This work is also the result of the internationalization process of Brazilian university TV, within a perspective of cooperation through communication and education.
