Abstract

Turnout, as one of the three main weaknesses in track structure, is more complex than other parts of track structure, and many types of turnout have been used in urban rail transit. Thus ensuring the effective management and keeping the reasonable, economic usage of turnout components is becomiing more and more necessary. Based on the turnout components management requirement and its application in practice in Shanghai metro, a mathematical model for turnout components distribution is put forward and a turnout components management information system based on the above model is developed. In this paper, the model and its usage will be analyzed first, then the structure of the program is described, and finally the practice of turnout components auto-distribution is presented.
