Abstract

The Queer Child examines childhood sexuality from the intersection of childhood studies, queer theory, film theory, and literary studies. This highly theoretical text not only demonstrates how the “ghostly gay child” lurks alongside the twentieth century in literature and film but also provides reading practices for discerning these queer children.
