Abstract

To discuss the origins, motivations, and accomplishments of the social media inspired movement @ThisIsOurLane, a grassroots action intended to raise awareness of the scope of the problem of gun violence and to provide examples of successful past clinician lead social media and grassroots legislative advocacy. In 1 year, conversations to address the issue of gun violence in America have been moved from trauma rooms and societal meetings, into lecture halls, state, and federal legislatures.
