Abstract

The stochastic transport of particles with large Larmor radii is studied using the decorrelation trajectory method, which is able to describe the nonlinear process of intrinsic trajectory trapping. The diffusion coefficient is determined for wide ranges of the parameters in order to provide a quantitative description of the possible effects that the turbulence can have on large Larmor radius particles.
