Abstract

The effect of finite magnetic Reynolds numbers ($R\phantom{\rule{0}{0ex}}m\ensuremath{\sim}{10}^{2}$) on MHD flow in a square duct was studied using direct numerical simulations. The structure of the secondary mean flow is modified significantly and the streamwise anisotropy is strongly enhanced away from the boundary layers.
