Abstract

The pressure gradient arising because of the heat liberation in the combustion zone and gravitational effects lead to the appearance of additional fluxes of scalar quantities in turbulent flames. In this work, on the basis of a two-moment closure model, a calculation scheme is constructed for turbulent diffusional flames in the presence of a fixed mean-pressure gradient and numerical modeling of the scalar quantities associated with the heat liberation and large density fluctuations is undertaken.
