Abstract

Results of the experimental and numerical studies into the turbulent characteristics of a semirestricted jet near a curved surface are given. A comparative analysis of the longitudinal and transverse velocity pulsations, the correlation between the longitudinal and transverse pulsations, the coefficient of one-point correlation, the mixing path length of the jet near flat and concave surfaces is carried out. The curvature significantly affects the characteristics. The results of the study are generalized by empirical dependences.
