Abstract

We consider the problem of turbo multiuser detection over synchronous CDMA channels in the presence of interfering users whose signature sequences are unknown. We will see that the new receiver significantly outperforms the conventional turbo multiuser receiver in the presence of unknown interferers, even in situations in which the conventional turbo receiver suffers catastrophic failure.
