Abstract

Holographic data storage (HDS) system has been investigated for the next generation of digital storage due to its high storage density and high data transfer rate [1]. As the recording density increases, two-dimension (2D) inter-symbol interference (ISI) resulting from pixel blurring becomes serious. Therefore, strong signal processing techniques are necessary required to achieve high density recording in HDS systems. Recently, iterative equalization and decoding (IDE) called turbo equalization have received great attention due to the impressive performance gains for data storage and communication system [2].
