Abstract

Using the WKB approximation we analyse the tunnelling of a pulsating string in deformed Minkowski spacetime.

Highlights

  • IntroductionThe energy of spinning and rotating strings matches the anomalous dimension of operators in the gauge theory in the range where they can be compared

  • There is a huge body of evidence that the AdS/CFT correspondence holds true for strings in Ad S5 × S5 and N = 4 super Yang–Mills theory in four dimensions

  • The energy of spinning and rotating strings matches the anomalous dimension of operators in the gauge theory in the range where they can be compared

Summary

Introduction

The energy of spinning and rotating strings matches the anomalous dimension of operators in the gauge theory in the range where they can be compared. Integrability on both sides of the correspondence provides further support for the correspondence [1]. The gravitational dual of such theories have a deformed fivesphere characterised by a real parameter γ and the dilaton and some RR and NS-NS fields are present [4] In this situation both sides of the correspondence have integrable structures [5].
