Abstract

Tunneling spectroscopy measurements of CaAlSi have been carried out using a break junction technique. The spectra exhibit the sharp gap structures with the gap parameter of Δ(4.2 K)≈1.1–1.3 meV. The T c is determined to be 6–7.5 K from the temperature variations of the gap structure. The extrapolated Δ(0 K) by the BCS curve leads to the strong coupling ratio 2 Δ(0 K)/ k B T c=4.2–4.5.
