Abstract

AbstractPhase pure copper sulfide nanoparticles with various shapes and superlattices were synthesized using Bis(O‐isobutyldithiocarbonato)copper(II) complex as single source precursor (SSP) by the hot injection method. Optimization of reaction conditions provide mono‐disperse nanospheres, nanorods, hexagonal disks and cubic nanoparticles. Furthermore, self‐assembly of highly monodispersed nanoarrays were also obtained by tuning reaction parameters. The kinetics of decomposition of the SSP under the influence of activating and/or stabilizing agents is discussed.
