Abstract

In thinking about whistle blowing it is not uncommon to distinguish between those conditions under which it is considered morally permissible, that is, where persons will have a right of sorts to call attention to some corporate or government wrongdoing, and those conditions under which it is morally obligatory or required. Richard DeGeorge perhaps captures the general sense of the distinction in laying out the conditions for permissibility and obligation.
