Abstract
The research work proposed in this paper is an innovative approach to develop a Tuned-State Coded Modulation (TSCM) system for data transmission over bandlimited communication channel in the presence of Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) and Intersymbol Interference (ISI). The TSCM comprises of a non-binary encoder integrated with a coded modulation scheme for enhanced signal constellation, and a transmitter unit. The TSCM signals contain hidden-information necessary to tune the encoder-state- information automatically. In support of the innovative TSCM system proposed, an innovative decoding strategy has been developed and the TSCM transmission efficiency has been analyzed from the performance of the computer simulated model. Future scope of the TSCM technique has been discussed.
