Abstract

Post switchgear of substation in a gale area is a typical wind-sensitive structure. In order to reduce the wind-induced response of substation post switchgear in a gale area, in this paper, according to the theoretical formula of the optimal frequency ratio and the optimal damping ratio of TMD given by Den Hartog, a tuned mass damper (TMD) is proposed to reduce the vibration of the first-order vibration mode outside the plane of the structure. The Simulink simulation model of the simplified structure with TMD is established and the fluctuating wind speed of the equipment is simulated by the Kaimal wind speed spectrum. The wind vibration control effect of TMD is checked, and the rationality of the TMD design is verified.
