Abstract
Abstract Effectively modulate and tunable optical properties of the Ag-nanocluster ligated with glutathione was synthesized to exploited the covalent nature of precursor salt, strength of the reducing agent to develop versatile methodologies to get a monodisperse with desired properties. Recent study reveals that fascinating optical properties are not only because of metal core (quantization effect), it can also be tuned by surrounding ligand environment.Authors interest to demonstrate the simple method to control the size, chemical composition and non-linear optical properties of Ag nanoclusters surrounded by non-toxic, bio-compatible ligand, glutathione. The synthesized biocompatible silvernanoclusters can be very much useful for biosensor, optical storage, water puri-fication and catalytic applications.
