Abstract

In this paper, a tunable wide band-stop plasmonic filter in infrared (IR) wavelength range is proposed. The designed filter consists of a bus Metal-Insulator-Metal (MIM) waveguide coupled with T-shaped resonators containing a Kerr nonlinear medium. Simulation results show that, the stop wavelength range in Near-Infrared (NIR) is broadened by increasing the number of T-shaped resonators. Also, the stop wavelength band is shifted to Mid-Infrared (MIR) band with increasing the insulator permittivity. In this way, the insulator region is realized by Kerr nonlinear medium which possesses incident light intensity-dependent permittivity. Therefore, the stop wavelength band can be tuned to desired range with the number of T-shaped resonators and incident light intensity. Simulation results are obtained using CST Microwave Studio software.
