Abstract

We present graphene-based metasurface structure that is actively tuned over far infrared frequency range. Tunable metasurface is created by using single ring and double ring split ring resonator (SRR) and complementary split ring resonator (CSRR). Proposed metasurface structures are analysed over different graphene chemical potential. Results of different metasurface are compared in terms of their transmittance, reflectance, phase variation and phase difference. The modulation depth of the transmittance is achieved more than 90%. It is also observed that resonance response becomes stronger when higher chemical potential is applied to graphene metasurface. The designed graphene metasurface can be used as sensor, polarizer and modulator in modern photonics devices.
