Abstract

Tunable Broadband Photoresponse Electron-Emission Nanostructures In article number 2200040, Shaozhi Deng and co-workers propose a strategy to combine a fielde-mission cold cathode with plasmonic nanostructures to form a plasmon-enhanced field-emission metasurface array. Single-crystalline Mo nanopyramids with excellent emission properties act as field-emission cold cathode materials. Au nanospheres are applied to enhance the photocurrent of Mo nanopyramid emitters and to generate tunable resonance responses by plasmonic couplings. The extended frequency and polarization selections are achieved by the Mo–Mo and Au–Mo periodic couplings in the metasurface array.
