Abstract
Considerable anatomical changes such as weight loss and tumor regression are associated with radiotherapy treatment of head and neck cancer. A cone beam CT (CBCT) scanner integrated with the treatment machine allows for repetitive imaging during radiotherapy (RT). Soft tissue contrast, however, is insufficient to visualize tumor variability. The purpose of this study was to evaluate position and shape variability of head-and-neck tumors over the course of radiotherapy with implanted gold markers.
