Study of mixed solvents: squalane-stearonitirile. I. Comparison of results by gas chromatography and surface tensions We have compared surface tension measurements of binary mixtures with chromatographic results obtained on these mixed stationary phases. At any concentration of stearonitrile the structure of the bulk mixture change. When measuring surface tension, it takes a long time before equilibrium is reached, but equilibrium is reached quickly by chromatography. Therefore the change of structure of the binary mixture is easily observed by chromatographic measurements.
