Abstract

This research compares the markers of textual cohesion in delusional phases versus non delusional phases in the discourse of the same subject. We have made two experiments. In the first one we have shown that delusional phases contain as many markers of textual cohesion as non delusional phases. One of the considered markers varies in a significant manner : the use of relative pronouns increases in delusional phases. In the second experiment we have analysed the conditions of the use of relative pronouns in the delusional phases. We have concluded that relative pronouns could be considered as markers of the delusional construction which consists in attributing properties to undefined objects of the world.
