Étude comparative de différents procédés de filtration : application à la recherche des anticorps irréguliers anti-érythrocytaires (RAI)

Abstract

A first comparative study of detection of irregular antibodies by differents micro — column technologies by filtration : Scangel — Sanofi, ID — Diamed and Biovue — Ortho Clinical Diagnostics) has been realised by two departments of immuno-haematology of Blood Transfusion Centers : • •|Blood Transfusion Center of Lille has tested three technologies (Scangel — Sanofi, ID — Diamed and Biovue — Ortho Clinical Diagnostics), • •|Blood Transfusion Center of Marseille has tested two technologies (ID — Diamed and Biovue — Ortho Clinical Diagnostics). A second study of detection of irregular antibodies has been realised with one type of micro-column filtration and two kinds of red blood cells: the first one was produce by the same commercial firm than the cards of gel and the second was produce by the Blood Transfusion Center. More than two thousands sera containing an antibody have been tested. The first study have shown that the three kits have the same sensibility to detect the majority of important immune allo-antibodies. Only few and very weak antibodies have not been detected. The second study with two kinds of red blood cells have shown that the enzymatic treatment must be moderate. In the contrary, the number of ‘auto-antibody’ or false positive reaction observed is too excessive. The absence of specificity of the enzymatic test in these conditions is regrettable because the analysis of immuno-haematology are not quantitative.
