Abstract

Pre- and post-nephrectomy hippuran clearance measurements on individual kidneys, using radioisotopes, are described. The method, developed by Oberhausen for clearance determination, makes an individual measurement of the effective kidney plasma flow possible, without burdening the patient with bladder and ureter catheterization. The results are compared to those of other authors.
