Abstract

Background and Aim: Tuberculosis is considered a well-controlled disease in western countries. Nevertheless, it is still the cause of 2 million deaths per year worldwide due to the widespread HIV epidemic and the rising numbers of economic immigrants. Localization of the disease into the middle ear may be the cause of tympanic membrane perforations and discharging ear. The aim of the present study is to present two cases of tuberculous otitis media, both involving economic immigrants.
