Abstract

Tuberculosis of rib is a rare disease. We reported two cases with anterior chest wall skin lesions as the chief complaint. Before operation, we used computerized tomography scan of chest to confirm the rib's involvement and to delineate the extent of the lesions. We excised the lesions radically. Tuberculosis of ribs was diagnosed by microbial culture or pathologic examination. Two cases received antituberculosis medications for one year after operation. No evidence of recurrence after 4 years follow-up.
