Abstract

“The Directly Observed Treatment Short-course” or short for “DOTS” is the basic strategy for tuberculosis control recommended by the World Health Organization, the trick for curing the tuberculosis is to monitor the individual tuberculosis patient who regularly taking the correct dose of medicine until fully recovery. The Directly Observed Treatment Short-course strategy based on taking medicines punctually when the patients are staying at home or going outdoors. During the tuberculosis treatment, the government’s public hygiene staff did not provide home service to those patients working or living away from the health center that resulted in tuberculosis treatment failure. The Tuberculosis DOTS Homecare System presented enabling the public hygiene staff to remotely monitoring whether the patients taking medicines on schedule and providing tuberculosis-related hygiene counseling free from transportations. Moreover, Tuberculosis DOTS Homecare System can even take a good look at the appearances, ingredients, usages, dosages and precautions of the medicines when the patients are taking. Applying the Tuberculosis DOTS Homecare System to monitor the tuberculosis patients will not only meet with the security features but also promote the living quality of the patients and high-technology digital life service to highly bringing down the burden of government’s public hygiene human resources.
