Abstract

Summary o (1) The results of a tuberculin-sensitivity survey among African soldiers in the Gold Coast are presented. (2) Approximately 97 per cent gave positive reactions. Differences between soldiers from different parts of the country were negligible. The percentage of positives rose significantly with age and length of military service. (3) The relation of immunity to the clinical forms of tuberculosis in West Africa is discussed in the light of these findings.
