Abstract

Endoscopic resections are gradually spread for the therapeutic option for early-stage cancer within the lamina propria mucosa in the worldwide. However, the application of endoscopic resections is enclosed by the possible incidence of regional lymph node metastases. Consequently, endoscopic resections are restricted in advance stage cancer and that is the limitation for an endoscopic procedure. The significant difference between surgical and endoscopic therapies is that radical lymphadenectomy can remove all the potentially involved nodes whereas endoscopic therapy cannot. Lymph node mapping could be a benefit for the endoscopic resection in the high frequency of lymph node metastases. The aim our experimental study was to elevate the technical feasibility of the endoscopic lymph nodes detection by using Carbon nanoparticles, and resection of lymph nodes.
